Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer and pioneer the development of advanced, AI-native SAP solutions. This role focuses on building high-performance, cloud-ready applications using modern ABAP on HANA, agentic AI patterns, and LLM capabilities. You'll leverage deep engineering expertise to create solutions that are not only efficient but also intelligent, capable of reasoning and acting within enterprise SAP workflows.

Our work integrates LLMs with SAP services through tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and deterministic fallbacks. We emphasize building and owning AI behaviors, ensuring governance, safety, and measurability within SAP solution delivery, rather than focusing on training foundation models from scratch.

Develop and optimize ABAP solutions for SAP HANA, emphasizing pushdown principles and efficient data processing. Build scalable, testable, and maintainable ABAP code following clean architecture practices. Design AI-enabled SAP experiences by integrating ABAP services with LLM capabilities, including tool orchestration and retrieval grounding. Implement robust quality engineering practices with automated testing and AI behavior evaluation loops. Ensure service observability, reliability, and effective error handling for production environments. Collaborate across teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, integrating SAP services with diverse ecosystems.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in ABAP Development on HANA, including performance tuning and efficient SQL access patterns, is required. Proficiency in CDS views and modern data modeling, along with experience in AMDP/SQLScript for performance-critical tasks, is essential. Solid software engineering discipline, encompassing clean design, testing, CI/CD, and production readiness, is expected. Demonstrated capability in building AI-native solutions, including LLM integration, retrieval grounding, tool orchestration, evaluation loops, and safety boundaries. This role requires 15 years of full-time education.
