This role is for a Custom Software Engineer focused on developing and enhancing SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting solutions. You will leverage modern frameworks and agile practices to build scalable, high-performing software tailored to business requirements. The position emphasizes integration, quality, and the use of AI-assisted development tools to accelerate financial processes, configuration, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting.

AI tools will be used to enhance financial process analysis, configuration, and documentation, aiming for increased productivity without requiring deep model development. The focus is on practical application and responsible AI usage to drive efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Key responsibilities include configuring and enhancing core SAP FI components such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing. You will translate business needs into scalable SAP configurations, utilize AI copilots for analysis and documentation, and support end-to-end delivery from requirements gathering to hypercare.

Responsibilities also involve integrating SAP FI with other SAP modules (MM, SD, CO, AA) and external systems, using AI copilots for functional specifications, configuration validation, test script generation, and impact analysis. You will apply pre-built AI services for anomaly detection and forecasting, and use AI tools for financial data interpretation and issue resolution.

A strong understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes, including the Universal Journal, Financial Closing, AP/AR, Asset Accounting, Banking, and Taxation, is essential. Experience integrating FI with CO, MM, and SD is required.

Additionally, hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, automated documentation, and AI-driven testing tools is necessary. A foundational understanding of AI concepts, limitations, and responsible AI usage is expected. The role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills in finance, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams. A continuous learning mindset and comfort with AI-enabled workflows are also crucial.
