Develop cutting-edge, AI-native SAP solutions on ABAP Cloud. This role combines deep ABAP and SAP platform expertise with advanced agentic AI architectures and LLM tooling. You will design, implement, and scale intelligent SAP applications by integrating ABAP Cloud with LLMs, retrieval pipelines, and enterprise systems, driving innovation from automation to autonomy. Build AI-driven SAP applications that reason, retrieve, and act, significantly accelerating innovation cycles. Develop scalable, secure, and compliant AI-powered SAP extensions aligned with clean core principles, laying the groundwork for autonomous, AI-driven enterprise workflows.

Design and build AI-native ABAP Cloud applications embedding LLM-driven intelligence into core SAP business processes. Implement AI-enabled extensions using modern frameworks like the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), event-driven patterns, and cloud-native architectures, ensuring clean and testable ABAP code. Integrate agentic workflows, including tools, planners, and memory, with SAP processes. Develop and integrate retrieval pipelines using both SAP and non-SAP data sources to support production-grade RAG scenarios, ensuring factuality and explainability.

Implement comprehensive evaluation frameworks for AI behaviors and design robust guardrails for authorization, data privacy, and error handling. Build observability into AI-enabled applications. Prototype solutions rapidly, demo frequently, and iterate based on business feedback, moving prototypes into enterprise-grade production systems with performance, security, and compliance as top priorities.

A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in software engineering is required, with a minimum of 3 years specifically in SAP ABAP Cloud development. Proficiency in SAP ABAP Cloud, including RAP, CDS, OData, and clean core principles, is essential. Demonstrable hands-on experience integrating LLMs and AI services into applications, along with building RAG pipelines, embeddings, and contextual retrieval, is a must. Strong software engineering fundamentals, including design, testing, and CI/CD, are necessary.

Ability to translate complex business problems into practical, AI-enabled SAP solutions is key. Experience with SAP BTP, eventing, APIs, and cloud services is strongly beneficial. Familiarity with agent frameworks, custom orchestration logic, vector databases, search, semantic indexing, and enterprise security, authorization, and compliance patterns will be advantageous.
