This role involves developing custom software solutions, focusing on designing, coding, and enhancing system components. Leverage AI-powered technology to significantly enhance SAP Materials Management (MM) processes. This includes accelerating requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and problem resolution. The goal is to streamline procurement, inventory management, and supplier collaboration through the integration of pre-built AI capabilities, without requiring in-depth AI model development.

Configure and optimize core SAP MM processes such as Procure to Pay (P2P), Purchase Requisition/Order Management, Source List & Quota Arrangements, Vendor Management, Inventory Management, Reservations & Movements, Material Master Data, and Release Strategies & Pricing.

Utilize AI copilots for generating functional specifications, validating configuration logic, creating high-quality test cases, and automating essential documentation. Support end-to-end delivery, from requirements gathering and solution design through SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare.

Integrate MM with other SAP modules (SD, FI, PP, QM) and external supplier systems via standard APIs, IDocs, and middleware. Apply AI tools to accelerate requirement interpretation, process design, material and vendor data validation, error diagnostics, test creation, and document generation. Integrate pre-built AI services to enhance MM operations, such as automated material classification or predictive signals for low stock.

Ensure compliance with procurement governance, audit policies, and material master standards. Participate in workshops and process optimization discussions, using AI-generated insights. Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, finance, production, QM, and integration teams. Contribute reusable templates, checklists, and AI-augmented best practices.

Possess strong SAP MM expertise, including a deep understanding of P2P processes, purchasing document flows, vendor evaluation, and inventory management. Experience in configuring material master, vendor master, PO/PR processing, goods movements, and release strategies is essential.

Familiarity with integrations across SAP SD, FI, PP, and QM, along with knowledge of IDocs, outputs, pricing procedures, and common MM troubleshooting patterns, is required.

Demonstrate hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-powered documentation tools, and AI-assisted testing accelerators. You should be able to integrate pre-built AI capabilities into MM workflows for automation and insight generation, understanding responsible AI usage and its limitations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in procurement and material management scenarios are crucial. The ability to translate business requirements into logical, scalable SAP MM configurations, clear communication, and collaboration skills are necessary. A continuous learning mindset and comfort with adopting AI-enabled productivity tools are highly valued.
