Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer to architect and implement cutting-edge, AI-native SAP solutions. This role offers the opportunity to leverage deep ABAP and SAP platform expertise, combined with agentic AI architectures and LLM tooling, to build scalable, intelligent SAP applications.

You will be instrumental in integrating ABAP Cloud with advanced AI capabilities, moving beyond simple automation to foster true autonomy in enterprise workflows. This is a hands-on role focused on building AI systems that drive innovation and deliver tangible business value.

Design and develop AI-native ABAP Cloud applications that embed LLM-driven intelligence into core SAP processes. Implement AI-enabled SAP extensions using modern frameworks like RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), event-driven patterns, and cloud-native architectures. Create robust, testable ABAP code designed for seamless integration with AI services and enterprise APIs. Integrate LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with ABAP Cloud for contextual, grounded AI responses. Build and integrate retrieval pipelines using diverse SAP and non-SAP data sources. Ensure factuality, traceability, and explainability within AI-driven SAP workflows. Develop evaluation frameworks and guardrails for AI behavior, security, and data privacy. Prototype, demo, and iterate rapidly, translating business challenges into innovative AI-enabled SAP solutions.

A minimum of 2 years, with a preference for 3-5 years, of professional software engineering experience is required. Possession of essential skills including SAP ABAP Cloud (RAP, CDS, OData, clean core principles) is mandatory. Demonstrated hands-on experience integrating LLMs and AI services into applications. Proven ability in building RAG pipelines, working with embeddings, and implementing contextual retrieval. Strong foundation in software engineering principles, encompassing design, testing, and CI/CD practices. Crucially, the ability to translate complex business problems into effective AI-enabled SAP solutions is paramount. A total of 15 years of full-time education is a prerequisite for this role.
