As a Custom Software Engineer, you will lead the design, build, and configuration of applications, serving as the primary point of contact. This role involves developing modern web applications using React and related front-end technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create scalable, responsive, and user-friendly solutions that align with business objectives. You will actively engage in developing UI components, participating in testing and code reviews, resolving technical challenges, and contributing to ongoing enhancements while adhering to Agile development practices and established coding standards.

This role requires independent performance and becoming a subject matter expert. Active participation in team discussions and providing solutions to work-related problems are essential. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to grasp business and technical requirements. Responsibilities include developing, testing, and maintaining front-end applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS. Close collaboration with senior developers, architects, and QA teams is expected to deliver high-quality software. You will engage in unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and defect resolution. Contributing to applications that meet functional and non-functional requirements is key. You will also utilize AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot for enhanced productivity and code quality, following enterprise guidelines. Support for application enhancements, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives is also part of the role. Adherence to Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices throughout the software development lifecycle is mandatory. Effective communication of progress, technical issues, and task updates to the project team is crucial.

This position requires a strong foundation in React 16/17/18+, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3. Proficiency with GitHub, Visual Studio Code, Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD is necessary. A solid understanding of React component-based architecture, object-oriented programming, and modern UI development is expected. Experience in building responsive and scalable web applications with React and TypeScript is required. Familiarity with UI libraries such as Material UI or Ant Design is beneficial. Knowledge of unit testing and end-to-end testing tools like Jest, Selenium, or Cucumber is required. Experience with build tools such as Webpack or Vite is also needed. Understanding of web performance optimization, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility is essential. Knowledge of web security best practices and secure application development is required. Experience with GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tools like SonarQube is necessary. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI usage is important. A good understanding of Agile methodologies and the SDLC is required, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. A minimum of 3 years of experience in React.js is mandatory. This role is based in Pune Magarpatta with a hybrid work model requiring two days of office visits per week. A full-time education of 15 years is a prerequisite.
