This role focuses on building AI-native enterprise applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). You will combine strong platform engineering skills, including administration, solution design, and full-stack development, with agentic AI application patterns like LLMs and retrieval mechanisms. The primary goal is to build, deploy, and operate cloud applications on SAP BTP, evolving them into intelligent systems through rapid prototyping and production hardening.

- Engineer cloud applications on SAP BTP, covering platform fundamentals, administration, solution design, and full-stack development. - Deliver full-stack solutions using Node.js for backend services and APIs, and SAPUI5 for responsive frontend components. - Design and implement data models and persist data using SAP HANA. - Configure platform environments, including subaccounts, service instances, and connectivity artifacts for API integration. - Implement AI-native application patterns, integrating LLMs for features like workflow assistants, tool calling, and memory handling. - Develop retrieval-grounded experiences (RAG) over enterprise content, ensuring clear fallback behaviors. - Establish evaluation loops for AI behavior monitoring and regression detection. - Utilize Git-based workflows and Agile/Scrum methodologies for collaboration and delivery. - Debug and resolve issues across backend, database, and service exposure layers.
A minimum of 2-5 years of experience is required for this position. Candidates must possess a strong foundation in SAP BTP application development, encompassing platform architecture, administration basics, solution design, and both frontend and backend development.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with full-stack implementation patterns is essential, including backend services, APIs, data models, and UI integration. A solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, such as clean code principles, a testing mindset, and CI/CD orientation, is also crucial. The ability to transition solutions from prototype to production is expected, particularly for AI-native applications.
