Job description

Join Amazon's dynamic Quick Commerce Last Mile team as a Channel Team Lead in our GSF Prime Now operations. We are committed to being the most customer-centric company globally and are looking for driven individuals to support our transportation initiatives. This role is crucial in managing last-mile delivery operations, ensuring efficiency, and contributing to our continued growth.

As a Channel Team Lead, you will oversee key operational aspects at our Delivery Centers (DCs) and manage the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) service providers. Your responsibilities will include supporting the DC Manager in performance management and driving the execution of operational plans to achieve defined goals.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include identifying and acquiring new retail store accounts for our In-Home Services (IHS) program within your assigned territory. You will manage and grow existing channel partner businesses by developing and executing strategic account plans to unlock new opportunities.

Daily field visits to targeted stores are essential, along with providing training and coaching on Amazon's processes, products, and operating models. You will collaborate with operations and other teams to facilitate network enablement for new product launches.

Maintaining and publishing routine performance reports for stores, including recommendations based on data analysis, is vital. You will also report on the overall health of the network in your territory. Building and managing a multi-layer team, providing on-the-job coaching, and mentoring associates to meet their targets will be a significant part of your role.

Setting clear expectations, communicating status updates, and fostering strong relationships with assigned stores for mutual growth are paramount. You will work closely with partners to enhance operational aspects, improve delivery experiences, and consistently increase efficiency. Enhancing account engagement to boost business and retention is also a key objective.

You will drive stores against key metrics such as volume and First Time Right (FTR). Day-to-day operational escalations will require your attention, and you must be available round-the-clock to manage issues effectively. Stakeholder management, both internal and external, is a core function. You will also provide support for station operations and customer deliveries.

Qualifications

We are seeking individuals with strong leadership and people management capabilities, adept at working effectively under pressure and in ambiguous situations. Excellent communication and listening skills are essential for explaining objectives to individuals and teams, and for gaining commitment from all stakeholders.

A strong bias for great customer service is required, along with the ability to engage the team in understanding customer needs and expectations. High ownership means following through to ensure the delivery of solutions and services that meet customer requirements.

Analytical skills are crucial for interpreting information, identifying key facts, and assessing the risks and advantages of different alternatives. Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree or MBA, preferably with a background in Sales or Telecom. Advanced Excel and communication skills, along with operations and people-handling experience, are necessary.

"A day in the life" involves navigating ambiguous situations with good communication, fostering customer service, and demonstrating high ownership. Key job responsibilities for an Operations Manager leading over 20,000 packages include managing on-the-road execution with Delivery Service Partners and drivers, developing strategies to streamline operations, and leading teams of Team Leads and Associates. You will be responsible for solving complex problems, making key decisions, handling escalations, fostering a culture of safety, monitoring service levels, and improving driver and associate performance. Assembling the right team, defining tracking strategies, and controlling operations to ensure timely last-mile delivery are also critical.
