As an AI Engineer within the Nitro initiative, you will provide technical leadership for developing and deploying cutting-edge generative AI solutions, including Large Language Models (LLMs). This role ensures alignment with strategic business objectives and adherence to industry best practices, driving innovation in AI-driven products and solutions.

Key responsibilities involve delivering data science insights through various tools and methodologies to create sophisticated cognitive services utilizing complex algorithms, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. You will be instrumental in developing novel algorithms and refining existing machine learning techniques.

A significant part of this role includes translating data-driven insights into actionable business recommendations that enhance decision-making. You will collaborate across business units to identify new project opportunities, understand requirements, define success metrics, and ensure successful project delivery. This may also include leading medium-sized projects or mentoring junior team members.

We are seeking candidates with at least 12 years of experience in machine learning, data mining, predictive modeling, and statistical modeling, covering large-scale data acquisition, transformation, and cleaning for both structured and unstructured data. Proficiency in Python for data wrangling, visualization, and modeling is essential.

Candidates should possess a strong understanding of ML/NLP algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, and in-depth knowledge of deep learning methods such as RNNs, LSTMs, RvNNs, and autoencoders. Experience with ML frameworks like Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and tools such as Hugging Face Transformers is required, alongside expertise in generative LLM fine-tuning and prompt engineering.

Excellent programming skills in Python are a must. While knowledge of containerization platforms like Docker is a plus, experience with Git and modern software development workflows is also highly valued. Non-technical strengths include a proven track record of leading strategic initiatives, strong team and business communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, and the ability to collaborate across multi-office teams.
