Join Rippling as a Corporate Accounting Manager and play a pivotal role in managing operating expense accounting. This position offers the opportunity to own critical areas like month-end accruals, fixed assets, prepaids, intercompany transactions, leases, and payroll/benefits accounting. You will be instrumental in developing new processes, refining existing workflows, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting.

Lead operating expense accounting activities and manage key accounting areas including month-end accrual review, fixed assets, prepaids, intercompany, leases, and payroll/benefits accounting. Take ownership of significant accounting estimates and drive the implementation of new processes and improvements to existing workflows.

Serve as the primary contact for opex accounting operations and month-end close activities. Prepare and review detailed workpapers for opex close, offering feedback to enhance quality and analysis. Collaborate closely with Procurement to ensure proper contract processing, categorization, approval, and recording in line with company policies.

Act as the Accounting owner for new opex-related initiatives, evaluating long-term contract terms, program changes, and vendor impacts. Support finance with forecast and reporting requirements. Partner with Procurement, Accounts Payable, FP&A, and other Business Partners to ensure complete and accurate accruals and to optimize efficiency within a strong control framework.

Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement scalable processes that ensure proper opex accounting treatment compliant with US GAAP and international standards. Focus on data accuracy, monitoring, and the delivery of reports for management review, elevating data analysis for strategic decision-making.

Support and conduct ad-hoc financial analyses for operational needs, ensuring accuracy and clarity in reporting. Play a key role in SOX initiatives for opex, including control documentation, inefficiency identification, and process improvement. Own and manage critical payroll operations, including payroll creation/approval, 401k compliance audits, and supporting external audit requests. Proven ability to manage US expense reimbursement approvals and address payroll/spend management application issues.

Demonstrate a track record of leading and motivating a high-caliber team committed to challenging the status quo with integrity and accountability.

A minimum of 8 years of experience in operational and related accounting roles, preferably with a blend of public company industry experience and Big 4 audit experience. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required, with a CPA certification being preferred.

Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls, with an emphasis on accurate data management and compliance. Exhibit a high level of attention to detail to ensure precision in data entry, financial reporting, and variance analysis.

Demonstrate the capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all responsibilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, enabling clear presentation of data findings, effective addressing of questions, and engaging interaction with management and business partners.

Experience with Rippling payroll and spend management applications is a plus. This role requires working in-office at least three days a week to foster collaboration and company culture.
