Capgemini is seeking a distinguished Core Banking Enterprise Architect to spearhead significant banking transformation initiatives. This pivotal role demands hands-on architectural leadership, underpinned by profound expertise in core banking platforms and a history of successfully delivering transformations within banking institutions or leading system integration firms.

The position uniquely blends architectural ownership, program delivery oversight, and client consultation, with a strong emphasis on practical execution and implementation.

This is a permanent position based in Chennai.

Lead the comprehensive architecture design and delivery for core banking transformation programs, overseeing the entire lifecycle from design and build to integration and migration.

Define target state architectures and transition plans, ensuring alignment between architectural vision and execution realities.

Provide expert guidance on core banking platforms such as Temenos, Finastra, Thought Machine, or Avaloq, driving solution design and customization strategies.

Champion the adoption of out-of-the-box solutions while effectively managing technical debt.

Drive modern architectural patterns including API-led, microservices, and event-driven approaches to integrate core banking systems with payments, digital, and data platforms.

Manage architecture across extensive transformation programs, engaging directly with CIO, CTO, and senior leadership, and guiding global delivery teams.

Possess hands-on enterprise architecture experience with a proven track record in delivery, gained either client-side within financial institutions or with premier System Integrators (e.g., Accenture, Infosys, TCS).

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of at least one major core banking platform (Temenos, Finastra, Avaloq, Thought Machine), including experience with implementation, integration, and migration.

Exhibit domain expertise in Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Payments, and Lending, preferably within regulated environments.

Familiarity with TOGAF or equivalent architectural frameworks is essential.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern architectural concepts like APIs, microservices, and data architecture is required.
