- Oversee the deployment of data center control systems, ensuring timely delivery and effective vendor management to minimize defects. - Execute critical projects focused on upgrading data center automation systems. - Provide essential service and support to partner teams, diagnosing and resolving operational events impacting visibility and resilience. - Meet predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for task resolution. - Drive initiatives to enhance data center efficiency and optimize operational procedures.

As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying and servicing building automation systems, such as BMS and EPMS, crucial for data center health. Your role may involve leading new system deployments, managing upgrade projects for existing facilities, or supporting colocated data centers. Furthermore, you'll contribute local servicing expertise and potentially assist with global support efforts.
Success in this role requires strong partnerships with various Amazon teams, including Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, Data Center Operations, Procurement, Program Management, Design, and Engineering, as well as maintaining robust vendor relationships. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required, along with experience in bringing new designs from concept to deployment. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems is essential, as is experience with power management and monitoring systems. Candidates with at least 5 years of project management experience in data centers or similar critical infrastructure, knowledge of critical data center equipment, engineering documentation, building codes, and experience interpreting construction specifications and drawings will be strongly considered.
