This Senior role within EY GDS FAAS focuses on Controllership Transformation. As a Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professional, you will provide critical advisory services, including support for accounting changes, regulatory compliance, and process optimization. Drive significant transformation initiatives within Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, leveraging deep techno-functional expertise to lead end-to-end improvements and strategic interventions. Take ownership of transformation across key R2R areas including Revenue Recognition, Accruals, Intercompany Reconciliation, Manual Journal Entries and Automation, Asset Accounting, Chart of Accounts, Account Reconciliation, Subledger Accounting, Consolidation, Financial Statement Preparation, and Cost Accounting.

Provide crucial subject matter expertise and lead delivery teams in R2R transformation and implementation programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Support the design and integration of ERP platforms with AI-based solutions, defining and implementing AI use cases within R2R processes, particularly in SAP environments. Lead consolidation process design and execution, including defining data structures and managing mapping for tools like SAP Group Reporting, SAP BPC, and Oracle FCCS.

Oversee workstreams and delivery teams within large transformation programs, guaranteeing timely, high-quality outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction. Define and implement AI-driven solutions and automation opportunities in R2R processes, evaluating tools and driving their practical application. You will be responsible for decision-making, process optimization, resource management, and team supervision to ensure successful task execution and performance evaluation against organizational goals.

Contribute to business development by leading pursuit teams, understanding client challenges, and formulating innovative solutions. Develop client-specific solutions and lead proposal development efforts. Collaborate with market teams to foster relationships and drive business growth for EY, working cross-functionally to ensure seamless project execution. Lead internal capability development and training sessions to coach and enhance team expertise.

Success in this role requires a strong command of Record-to-Report, Invoice-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash processes, coupled with sound experience or certification in ERPs like SAP S/4 HANA FI/CO/COPA, SAP Central Finance, Oracle Fusion Finance, or Oracle Netsuite. Familiarity with digital finance solutions such as Blackline, Trintech, High Radius, and RPA is essential. A robust understanding of AI/ML/Gen-AI and Analytics solutions in finance, particularly within R2R, along with knowledge of consolidation, reporting, inter-company, and ERP data structures, is expected.

Essential business and human skills include strong business development, solution conceptualization, and project management capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication, a flexible work attitude, and proven ability to lead diverse, global teams are critical. You must possess strong collaboration skills, the ability to quickly comprehend complexity and apply solutions, comfort with ambiguity, and entrepreneurial drive in problem-solving. To qualify, candidates should possess a CA, MBA (Finance) with a Commerce Background, CWA, CMA, CFA, or M.Com degree. A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant consulting experience in record-to-report transformation is required; industry user experience is not considered. Experience working with international clients and prior engagements with multinational consulting firms or Big4 firms are preferred.
