As a Consultant in Indirect Tax, you will be instrumental in delivering technical expertise in GST, Customs, and other indirect tax domains. This involves guiding internal EY teams and pioneering innovative advisory solutions. You will provide expert advisory services to clients across various sectors, author technical papers, and contribute to policy representations.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing advanced solutions for tax research and compliance automation. You will conduct in-depth analysis of judicial pronouncements to derive actionable insights for clients. Furthermore, you will drive knowledge sharing through training and alerts, and collaborate with global teams to resolve cross-jurisdictional issues, enhancing both team and client capabilities.

To excel in this role, a Chartered Accountant (CA) or a Law Graduate (LLB) with relevant articleship experience in indirect tax advisory, including GST and Customs, is essential. You must possess demonstrated expertise in technical analysis, policy representation, and advisory work within indirect tax law.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for preparing technical notes, representations, and training materials. Proven leadership and mentoring experience in consulting environments, with a track record of successfully managing teams, is also required.
