Join EY as a Consultant within our Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) Tax team in Mumbai. This role is integral to delivering high-quality client engagements efficiently and contributing to the firm's profitable growth.

As a Consultant, you will play a key part in assisting the team, ensuring client engagements are executed with professionalism and in line with contractual expectations. You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of tax services, contributing to both advisory and compliance aspects of our work.

Your core responsibilities will involve conducting engagements professionally and meeting client expectations as defined by contracts. This includes preparing and filing individual tax returns, e-TDS returns, drafting submissions for tax authorities, and representing clients before them.

You will also advise on outbound/inbound structuring for employee movements, gain working knowledge of immigration and provident fund regulations for expatriates, and maintain a positive attitude while working constructively with the team to enhance performance. Leveraging knowledge from various sources and providing timely, high-quality services are paramount. You'll participate in executing work effectively within a group, ensuring adherence to work programs, firm methodologies, and professional standards.

Additionally, you'll utilize electronic working papers and software efficiently for research, acquire and demonstrate competence in technical knowledge and compliance processes, and keep updated on industry trends. Analyzing and converting data into accurate tax products, thorough document checking, and maintaining client confidentiality are essential. You will contribute to team success by understanding methodologies, keeping team members informed, seeking assignments, proactively offering services, and exploring innovative approaches.

To excel in this role, you should possess strong written and oral communication skills, with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines is crucial, alongside strong analytical and numerical abilities.

We are seeking enthusiastic, self-starting individuals who are excellent team players and have a keen ability to grasp details and manage time effectively. A certified CA qualification is a must. The role requires 0-1 year of relevant experience, making it an excellent opportunity for freshers.
