As an HR Generalist, you will support the Bangalore GCC HR Shared Services operation for employee lifecycle management. This involves operational execution, case support, data stewardship, and stakeholder follow-up, adhering strictly to HR policies, country-specific processes, data privacy, and governance standards. You will manage end-to-end employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, transfers, job changes, and exits, ensuring data accuracy and validating approvals. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate case documentation, coordinating with various HR teams for issue resolution, and supporting knowledge transfer activities. You will triage and resolve HR cases within service level agreements, maintaining detailed case notes for audit readiness and performing employee profile lookups in HR systems like Workday or SAP SuccessFactors. Complex cases will be routed to appropriate specialist teams with clear summaries. Additionally, you will monitor queues, track case aging, and escalate service risks. Emphasis is placed on adhering to data privacy and confidential information handling requirements, identifying recurring issues for process improvements, and supporting quality reviews.
To excel in this role, a strong HR operations mindset is essential, balancing employee experience with policy adherence and service controls. High attention to detail, data accuracy, and disciplined documentation are critical for audit-ready execution. You should possess clear written communication skills, professional stakeholder follow-through, and the ability to manage global hand-offs. Comfort with operating in a GCC or shared services model, including SLAs, queues, and escalations, is important. The ability to quickly learn process nuances, ask structured questions, and convert knowledge into practical application is key. Sound judgment in handling confidential employee information and escalating sensitive matters appropriately is also required. Mandatory requirements include 3-5 years of hands-on experience in employee lifecycle management within HR operations, GCC, GBS, or shared services. You should have working knowledge of HR ticketing, case documentation, SLA management, and employee-data confidentiality. Proficiency in using HR systems and process documentation to execute transactions or resolve queries is necessary, along with exposure to Workday HCM or SAP SuccessFactors for data lookups and transactions. Experience with ServiceNow HRSD or comparable helpdesk/case management workflow is expected, alongside strong business English skills to support global stakeholders. A Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, or PG Diploma in Human Resource Management is required. Pharma, life sciences, or regulated-industry HR operations experience, exposure to BOT transition, or knowledge-transfer environments are considered advantageous.
