As a Linux Administrator Consultant, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu Server environments. This includes conducting OS patching, kernel updates, security hardening, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.

Key duties involve managing logical volumes (LVM), file systems, RAID configurations, and storage integrations. You'll also leverage Linux clustering technologies (Pacemaker/Corosync, HAProxy, Keepalived) and utilize Shell/Bash scripting for automation. A strong understanding of Linux internals and performance analysis is crucial for effective troubleshooting.

This role requires 3-6 years of dedicated experience in Unix/Linux system administration, with a strong emphasis on hands-on experience in production clustering and High Availability (HA) implementations. Proficiency in Shell/Bash scripting and familiarity with automation tools like Ansible are essential.

Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and basic cloud knowledge are advantageous. Familiarity with ITIL practices is a plus. Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or LFCE are beneficial, as is experience with containerization (Docker/Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
