This role is for a seasoned Server Administration professional with deep expertise in both Windows and Linux systems, robust storage management capabilities, and a solid understanding of ITIL processes. The primary focus is on maintaining a stable, secure, and highly efficient infrastructure.
Key aspects of the role include actively supporting incident management, conducting essential system maintenance, and overseeing data migration initiatives within complex enterprise environments.
Administer and manage Windows and Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Unix) in production. Install, configure, patch, and upgrade systems while monitoring health and troubleshooting issues for high availability.
Manage disk partitioning, file systems, and LVM configurations. Handle mounting/unmounting of file systems and volumes, and work with enterprise storage solutions.
Plan and execute data migrations, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime. Support backup and recovery operations according to company standards.
Adhere to ITIL frameworks for incident, problem, change, and request management. Maintain proper documentation and comply with SLAs.
Implement OS-level security practices, monitor vulnerabilities, and maintain system logs for auditing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance to junior members, driving continuous infrastructure improvement.
A minimum of 4 years in Server Administration, specifically with Windows/Linux Infrastructure Support, is essential, with a minimum of L2 support experience. Proficient administration skills in Windows and Linux operating systems, particularly RHEL, are required.
Hands-on experience with LVM, file systems, and volume mounting is necessary, along with proven experience in storage management and data migration activities. A strong grasp of ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management, is crucial.
RHCSA and/or RHCE certifications are preferred, and experience in an SLA-driven L2 support environment is mandatory. Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible or shell scripting, cloud/virtualized environments, and backup/disaster recovery processes are considered advantageous.
