As a Consultant, you will collaborate closely with clients and BCG colleagues on projects designed to unlock value from asset-backed trading strategies. Your role will involve building new or enhancing existing trading capabilities, addressing modernization and digitalization issues. You will analyze requirements, define target landscapes and trading IT organizations, manage implementation programs, and develop crucial capabilities for our clients.

Shape the future of commodity trading by providing expert support to energy industry clients. This includes conducting thorough requirements analysis, defining target architectures, and overseeing solution implementation.

Ensure alignment between business concepts and the artefacts developed by delivery teams. This involves detailed use case definition, capability mapping, requirements engineering, process design, and data domain/flow analysis.

Take ownership of the successful implementation of energy solutions, such as Commodity/Energy Trading and Risk Management (CTRM/ETRM), portfolio management, market access, market data, forecasting, scheduling, logistics, digital data platforms, and value optimization tools.

Assist in managing transformation programs by coordinating implementation activities and providing guidance to business analysts, developers, and QA teams.

Elevate delivery quality by sharing insights on methodological approaches, leveraging your solution expertise and deep understanding of the commodity trading industry.

An above-average degree in computer science, (business) informatics, business administration, energy engineering, international trade, or a related field is essential.

Demonstrate at least two years of relevant experience in implementation programs, primarily within the commodity trading sector, whether from a vendor, consulting firm, or trading company.

Show proven experience working collaboratively within teams of business analysts, developers, and QAs on projects or programs involving multiple work streams or sub-projects.

Possess hands-on technical expertise in designing, implementing, and configuring leading commodity trading solutions, including ETRM systems like Endur, Allegro Horizon, RightAngle, Deltix, or Beacon.

Exhibit a foundational end-to-end understanding of commodity trading systems landscapes, core systems, their capabilities, interfaces, and recent advancements in data landscapes.

Apply exceptional analytical and conceptual skills, coupled with a strong client and results-oriented mindset.

Communicate fluently in both written and spoken English and German. A strong team spirit, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively towards shared objectives are crucial.
