Key duties include crafting and executing both automated and manual test cases for software applications. You will perform rigorous REST API and GUI testing to ensure the highest standards of software quality and reliability. Developing and maintaining robust test automation scripts using Python and various automation frameworks is crucial. Collaboration with development teams to pinpoint, reproduce, and resolve software defects is essential. Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins and Azure DevOps, alongside configuring and maintaining testing environments including Azure Virtual Machines, will be part of your core activities.

Furthermore, you will operate within Linux-based development and testing environments. A significant aspect of this role involves contributing to testing activities specifically for automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and EE vehicle architectures.

Candidates should possess a strong foundation in software testing methodologies and best practices, ideally supported by an ISTQB Tester Certification or equivalent hands-on experience. Essential qualifications include proven experience in REST API and GUI testing. Proficiency in Python programming is a mandatory requirement, along with a fundamental understanding of object-oriented programming principles. Familiarity with HTML and JavaScript is also expected.

Demonstrated experience with the following tools and frameworks is required: Robot Framework, Selenium, Playwright, Jenkins, Python-based automation frameworks, and Azure DevOps (ADO). Knowledge of Azure Virtual Machine setup, configuration, and CI/CD pipelines is necessary. Experience working within Linux environments is also a key requirement.

A foundational understanding of Electrical/Electronic (EE) vehicle architecture and practical experience testing Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in automotive settings are vital. The ability to establish comprehensive testing coverage across UI, APIs, databases, and microservices, implement shift-left testing, and ensure high automation coverage and maintainability are expected. Designing solutions for complex validation scenarios involving distributed architectures is also a key part of this role.
