Join Deloitte's Technology & Transformation practice as a Data Engineer in Hyderabad. This role is instrumental in helping organizations harness the power of data through strategic guidance and implementation services. You will work with a global network to manage diverse data sources and transform them into actionable insights for fact-driven decision-making, gaining a competitive edge through data.

Our practice spans business intelligence, data management, performance management, and next-generation analytics, including big data, cloud, and machine learning technologies. As a Consultant/Sr. Consultant, you'll contribute to unlocking the value hidden within vast datasets.

Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines for enterprise integration and analytics. You will build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows, develop data solutions using SQL and Python for transformation and automation, and design data models for analytical and operational workloads. Responsibilities also encompass developing and managing data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures, integrating data from various sources via APIs and event-driven systems, and building batch and real-time data processing solutions.

You will ensure data quality, integrity, and governance through automated frameworks. Leveraging cloud services from Azure, AWS, or GCP is essential for building scalable and cost-effective solutions. Experience with Big Data technologies like Apache Spark for large-scale processing and management of SQL/NoSQL databases is crucial. Monitoring and optimizing platform performance, troubleshooting issues, and enforcing data governance, security, and compliance policies are also key aspects of this role. Collaboration with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and supporting data modernization initiatives are expected.

We are seeking individuals with a strong foundation in Data Engineering, including Data Pipeline Development, ETL/ELT processes, SQL, Python, and Data Integration. Expertise in Data Architecture, encompassing Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, Data Lake, and Lakehouse Architecture, is required. Proficiency in Data Processing, including Batch and Streaming Data Processing, and Big Data Technologies such as Apache Spark is essential.

Familiarity with Integration Technologies like API Integration and Event-Driven Data Architectures is necessary. Experience in Database Technologies, including both SQL and NoSQL Databases, is a must. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is required for this position. This is an onsite role based in Hyderabad.
