Develop and implement sustainable finance frameworks aligned with key taxonomies. Support the design of use-of-proceeds structures, sustainability-linked KPIs, and performance-based funding instruments. Contribute to impact assessment and monitoring frameworks. Assist clients with sustainable finance strategy formulation, including target setting, governance, and transition plans. Support clients in launching new sustainable finance products and raising capital aligned with ESG mandates.

Conduct in-depth climate risk assessments, including physical and transition risks, and their impact on PD/LGD. Understand and apply climate risk frameworks like TCFD and NGFS climate scenarios. Develop climate-integrated ECL models and identify process improvement initiatives. Perform deep-dive sectoral assessments in areas like clean energy and climate-smart agriculture, estimating market size and investment potential.

Map capital flows, track deal activity, and identify emerging investable opportunities. Provide actionable roadmaps and recommendations for clients to access opportunities through financial, policy, or ecosystem interventions. Support clients in developing investment theses and pitch notes for various investor profiles.

Assist financial institutions in developing and operationalizing ESG strategies. Advise on ESG integration into investment/lending decisions and product design. Help develop ESG governance structures and operating models. Guide clients on regulatory disclosure requirements and frameworks. Support financed emissions estimation and decarbonisation target setting.

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in finance concepts, including understanding various asset classes, IRR, ROI, and capital structuring. Familiarity with IFRS S1/S2 and the GHG Protocol (Scope 1, 2, & 3 emissions) is essential. Proficiency in Python for model development and understanding of requisite data sets and statistical models is required.

Experience with key organizations and frameworks in sustainable finance, such as Green Loan Principles, Sustainability-Linked Loan Principles, and the Climate Bonds Initiative, is crucial. Experience in green bonds issuance assurance/verification or environmental & social impact assessment is highly valued.

Demonstrated research, Excel, and PowerPoint skills are necessary to synthesize data into clear recommendations. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are vital for collaborating effectively with clients and internal teams. Familiarity with Indian and global ESG/sustainable finance regulations, including SEBI BRSR, RBI, ICMA, SFDR, TCFD, and ISSB, is expected.
