Job description

Seeking a skilled Configuration Analysis Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in configuring client systems for pricing, specifically provider contracts, within our new claims processing platform. The specialist will be responsible for evaluating configuration needs, developing effective approaches, and implementing advanced configurations based on best practices. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of business rules to ensure accurate claims processing.

Key responsibilities include translating business requirements into actionable configurations and participating in problem-solving for health plan benefits, provider issues, pricing, reporting, and system functionalities. The role also involves resolving production support issues related to client configurations within the core administrative system, with a focus on provider pricing.

Additionally, the specialist will support updates to configuration within the core claims processing system, including fee schedule changes and contract maintenance. Enabling User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and implementing modifications suggested by business owners are crucial aspects of this position. The role also entails creating test cases, resolving coding/QA issues, and managing master issue logs. Data validation and auditing of existing plans and contracts in client databases are also integral parts of the job.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Chennai, TN, IN, with specific work hours from Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM EST. Flexibility for potential overtime and weekend work based on business needs is expected. The shift timings are subject to change as per client requirements.

Responsibilities

Configuring client systems for provider contract pricing according to business rules. Evaluating configuration requirements and formulating effective approaches. Implementing advanced configurations and additional functionalities. Creating rules and completing configuration activities based on gathered business requirements. Participating in problem-solving for health plan benefits, provider, pricing, reporting, and system issues. Resolving production support issues related to client configurations in the core administrative system. Supporting configuration updates within the core claims processing system, particularly in Provider Pricing. Assisting with fee schedule changes, terms, affiliations, and contract maintenance. Enabling User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and implementing suggested modifications. Creating manual test cases from use cases and functional specifications. Resolving coding/QA issues and managing Master Issue Logs. Performing data validation and audit of existing plans and contracts. Managing and maintaining databases.

Qualifications

Requires over 5 years of overall experience in the US healthcare claims payer industry. Possesses 6+ years of experience in configuring client systems for pricing (provider contract) and UAT testing, with at least 2 years specifically in UAT. High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory. An Associate's degree, technical college education, or some college coursework is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a project-oriented environment. Experience with SQL, including query writing, for 2+ years is preferred. Exposure to VB/VB.net is considered a preference. Availability for scheduled work hours (Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM EST), with flexibility for potential overtime and weekend work as required by business needs.
