Join our global Compliance Engineering team as an Associate Software Engineer in Bengaluru. This role offers the opportunity to develop mission-critical, high-quality software solutions using cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment. You will be part of a team of over 300 engineers and scientists tackling complex, vital problems for the firm.
We build and operate platforms that prevent, detect, and mitigate regulatory and reputational risk, leveraging massive datasets and modern frameworks for responsive front-end and Big Data applications. The firm is making a significant investment in enhancing its Compliance application portfolio, creating exciting full-stack engineering opportunities.
As a key member of our team, you will collaborate globally with sponsors, users, and engineering colleagues to plan and execute engineering projects and drive product roadmaps. You will be responsible for managing and leading a team of junior and senior software developers across multiple global locations. Instrumental in implementing processes and procedures to maximize team quality and efficiency.
You will manage significant projects throughout their full lifecycle: scoping, designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software systems. Close collaboration with engineers will involve reviewing DB design, queries, and ETL processes. Leverage technologies including Java, Flink, JSON, Protobuf, Presto, Elastic Search, Kafka, Kubernetes, and various SQL/NoSQL databases. An opportunity to innovate and incubate new ideas is also a core part of the role.
We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, coupled with 9+ years of software development experience, including management experience. A strong foundation in developing and designing end-to-end enterprise solutions with automated testing and SDLC is essential.
Sound knowledge of DBMS concepts, database architecture, and experience in ETL/data pipeline development is required. Proficiency in query tuning and optimization, along with the ability to clearly articulate ideas both verbally and in writing, is crucial. While not essential, knowledge of the financial industry is a plus. Experience in UI/UX development, API design, message buses, real-time processing, relational databases, financial industry compliance or risk functions, and stakeholder influencing will set candidates apart.
