As an AR Associate, you will manage the accounts receivable aspects of revenue cycle operations. This involves a deep understanding and execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and proactively communicating issues, trends, and suggestions to leadership.
Key duties include reviewing outstanding insurance balances to identify and resolve claim payment issues. You'll collaborate with payers, patients, and clients when necessary. Analyzing and trending data to recommend improvements for first-pass denial rates and reducing overall AR aging is crucial. Ensure all workflow items are completed accurately and on time, demonstrating a strong grasp of EOBs and denial analysis to drive process enhancements.
We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree and at least 1.5 years of experience in healthcare accounts receivable, specifically in denial management. A solid understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations, along with privacy laws, is essential.
Proficiency in medical insurance (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, Private Payers) and in-depth knowledge of relevant workflow applications are required. Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook, are a must. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities are vital for success. Excellent keyboard/typing skills and a commitment to professionalism and client satisfaction are expected.
