Manage customer issues from diagnosis through resolution, implementing new tools to boost productivity on Google Cloud Platform products. Deepen your expertise in Google's product technology and architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and identifying root causes of customer-reported problems, while developing diagnostic tools.

Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant for internal stakeholders across engineering, business, and customer organizations, tackling technical deployment hurdles and contributing to Google Cloud improvements. Advocate for customer needs by understanding their issues and collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to enhance products and drive production. Work as a key member of a global engineering support team, including performing non-standard hours or shifts as required.

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, coupled with 9 years of robust experience in debugging codes across languages like Java, C++, Python, Shell, Perl, or JavaScript.

A strong foundation in networking technologies is essential, with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in areas such as TCP/IP, Routing, VPN, VLAN, Peering, Load-Balancing, Firewalls, DHCP, ICMP, NAT, CDN, and DNS.

Preferred qualifications include certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CKA, or RHCE. Experience with packet analysis, load testing, traffic-path analysis for network performance issues, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices is highly valued. Familiarity with open-source communities, cloud networking, distributed computing, or hybrid/multi-cloud environments, along with virtual/container networking and web technologies, will be advantageous. Ability to work in shifts is also a requirement.
