Join our innovative team as a Cloud Solution Delivery Advisor and help build a cutting-edge enterprise Azure platform. You will be instrumental in creating reusable, versioned products like landing zones, Terraform modules, policy baselines, and CI/CD pipelines, all accessible through a self-service developer portal. This role offers a unique opportunity to own significant platform components end-to-end and shape the squad's standards from the ground up.

As a senior engineer within our Azure squad, you will contribute to the evolution of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is robust, secure, and easily consumable by development teams. Your expertise will drive the adoption of best practices in platform engineering and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Design and implement Azure landing zone components, including subscription vending, networking, identity integration, and policy enforcement, utilizing Terraform for reusable modules. Take ownership of key platform products from design through release, encompassing build, testing, and documentation. Develop and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines for infrastructure delivery, integrating security scanning, policy checks, testing, and cost controls. Engineer Azure Local and hybrid capabilities, extending the platform model into private cloud environments. Build and manage pipelines for creating hardened compute standard images. Package platform features as self-service golden paths for consumption via the Port.io developer portal. Contribute to establishing and upholding squad conventions, including code review discipline, module structure, testing standards, and documentation. Mentor mid-level engineers and participate in design discussions with leadership.

A minimum of 10 years in infrastructure, cloud, or DevOps engineering, with at least 8 years of hands-on Azure engineering experience is essential. Demonstrate deep expertise in enterprise Azure, covering management groups, subscription design, Azure Policy, networking (hub-spoke or vWAN), Entra ID, and security baselines. Possess advanced, production-level Terraform experience, including writing reusable modules, managing state, versioning, and testing infrastructure code. Showcase strong capabilities in secure platform engineering, integrating security-by-default principles into module design, identity, least-privilege, guardrails, policy enforcement, and secrets management. Exhibit proficiency in validating infrastructure code through module testing, plan reviews, and automated pre-merge checks. Maintain excellent Git workflow, code review, and documentation habits, with experience in agile, sprint-based environments. Be comfortable collaborating within a distributed team, engaging with UK-based leadership and client stakeholders, and possess clear written and spoken English communication skills.
