Join our team as a Cloud Platform Engineer and play a key role in designing, building, and deploying sophisticated cloud application solutions. This position involves integrating cloud and non-cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation. You will be instrumental in deploying robust infrastructure and platform environments, as well as creating proofs of architecture to rigorously test viability, security, and performance.

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, your day-to-day will involve creating and refining cloud-based application solutions that integrate both cloud and traditional infrastructure. You'll test and deploy these solutions, guaranteeing they meet high performance and security benchmarks. The role also encompasses developing and implementing infrastructure and platform environments, often building proof-of-concept models to confirm the feasibility and resilience of architectural designs. Collaboration with diverse teams to align architectural strategies with company objectives is also a significant part of this role.

Serve as a subject matter expert, fostering collaboration and guiding team performance. You will hold responsibility for key team decisions and actively engage with multiple departments on critical choices. Your expertise will be sought to provide solutions for cross-team challenges. Additionally, you will lead the evaluation and integration of emerging cloud technologies to enhance platform capabilities, ensuring adherence to best practices in cloud architecture, security, and compliance. Mentoring junior team members will also be a key aspect of your role, supporting their professional development.

A strong command of the Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform is essential for this role. You should possess practical experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure, coupled with a deep understanding of cloud security principles and performance optimization techniques. The ability to design and validate architectures through proof-of-concept implementations is crucial. Familiarity with integrating cloud and on-premises systems is also expected. A minimum of 12 years of experience specifically with the Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform is required, alongside a prerequisite of 15 years of full-time education. The position is located at our Bengaluru office.
