Join our team as a Cloud Platform Engineer, focusing on building and maintaining a robust, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and testing cloud solutions that seamlessly integrate with existing environments. You will be instrumental in deploying infrastructure and platform environments, creating proofs of architecture to validate viability, security, and performance.

The core of this position is dedicated to engineering and operating a secure, scalable cloud platform foundation. Responsibilities include the comprehensive management of an AWS Landing Zone, encompassing multi-account governance through AWS Organizations, SCPs, and Control Tower. You will leverage advanced Terraform for module development and state management, ensuring enterprise security and compliance standards are met through reusable Infrastructure as Code.

Key responsibilities include developing reusable Infrastructure as Code, designing core networking components, and supporting landing zone capabilities across multiple cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will own the platform architecture, governance, and ensure secure operations at scale.

The Cloud Platform Engineering team operates during standard office hours, offering flexible scheduling and supported by a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incidents. Project and task management are handled via JIRA, with Jira Service Desk for service requests and SLA tracking. Documentation is maintained in Confluence, and source control/CI/CD is managed using GitLab.

Expect direct, async-first communication with clearly defined escalation paths for priority issues. You will deploy infrastructure and platform environments, and create proofs of architecture to rigorously test architecture viability, security, and performance.

Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of AWS Architecture and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Essential skills include expertise in AWS multi-account governance (Organizations, SCPs, Control Tower) and advanced Terraform capabilities such as module development and state management.

Proficiency in cloud security and compliance frameworks and tooling (e.g., CIS, ISO 27001, Wiz, GuardDuty) is crucial. Experience with cloud networking, including VPC design, Transit Gateway, and DNS, is also required. While AWS is primary, exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure/GCP) is beneficial. A platform engineering mindset focused on standardization and automation is highly valued.
