Join the Azure Networking team and help build the infrastructure for one of the world's largest clouds. This role focuses on designing, constructing, and managing the global network that powers Microsoft Azure and connects users worldwide. You'll tackle large-scale cloud networking challenges, emphasizing reliability, scalability, automation, and operational excellence to ensure a secure cloud experience.
As a Cloud Network Engineer, you will leverage your networking expertise to contribute to the design, implementation, automation, and operation of Microsoft Azure's expansive global network. You'll engage with distributed systems, resolve complex production network issues, support network deployments and capacity expansions, and collaborate with other engineering teams to enhance network dependability.
Apply your understanding of network technologies and protocols to assist in the design, implementation, automation, and operation of massive cloud network infrastructures.
Convert high-level network blueprints into detailed execution strategies, partnering with engineering teams and stakeholders for deployment, expansion, and enhancement of network infrastructure.
Address intricate production network problems, conduct root cause and trend analyses, and implement solutions that boost service reliability while minimizing customer disruption.
Create and refine network automation tools, telemetry systems, and machine-readable configurations to streamline network deployments and operations, making them more secure, efficient, and scalable.
Examine network capacity, performance, and reliability metrics to identify potential risks and propose enhancements to network architecture, hardware, software, and operational procedures.
Engage in production operations, including on-call duties, and collaborate across teams to continually improve network availability, resilience, operational efficiency, and the overall customer experience.
A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, coupled with 5+ years of technical experience in network design, development, and automation.
Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 5+ years of technical experience in network design, development, and automation, or equivalent experience.
This role necessitates the ability to pass Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screenings. This includes a Microsoft Cloud Background Check, which must be cleared upon hire and renewed every two years.
