This role is crucial for the LEAP initiative, focused on developing a new Learning Functional Data product. You will lead the Data Engineering and Data Ingestion function, setting standards and ensuring the creation of strategic data pipelines aligned with our enterprise data strategy. Your leadership will foster a high-performing team to deliver key data ingestion, integration, and analytics use cases.

As a Chapter Lead & Manager, you will guide a team of 5-10 Data Engineers and Data Ingestion Engineers, managing their capacity, performance, and technical development. You'll define and enforce data engineering standards, best practices, and guardrails.

Key accountabilities include designing and building scalable, secure data pipelines, collaborating with QA and Business Analysis teams to enhance release quality and translate requirements into robust technical solutions. You will also drive sprint velocity through modern engineering practices like DevSecOps and CI/CD, while actively contributing to hands-on design, development, and code reviews as a technical role model.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Sciences, or a related field, complemented by over 12 years of IT experience with a strong emphasis on data engineering. Significant experience leading engineering teams is essential.

Required technical skills include hands-on experience with scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud data platforms. Familiarity with Agile development, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices is vital. A solid understanding of data modeling, quality, testing, diagnostics, performance tuning, and process documentation is expected. Experience with Scrum or Kanban methodologies and cross-functional Agile teams is also a plus.
