Join Boston Consulting Group as a Chapter Lead & Senior Manager for Data Engineering and shape the future of our data capabilities. We are seeking an experienced leader to define and implement robust data engineering standards and drive the development of our new Learning Functional Data product.

This role is crucial for empowering BCG's learning and development initiatives through trusted, integrated data. You will lead a high-performing team, ensuring strategic alignment with our enterprise-wide data strategy and delivering critical data ingestion, integration, and analytics use cases.

Lead and cultivate a team of 5-10 Data Engineers and Data Ingestion Engineers, focusing on their professional growth and performance.

Establish and enforce data engineering standards, best practices, and guardrails for consistent adoption within the squad.

Design and implement scalable, secure, and integrated data pipelines and ingestion frameworks, adhering to the enterprise data strategy.

Collaborate with QA and Business Analysis teams to enhance release quality, reduce defects, and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.

Drive improvements in sprint velocity by adopting modern engineering practices like DevSecOps and CI/CD. Act as a technical role model through hands-on development and code reviews.

Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with over 12 years of IT experience, specifically in data engineering and project leadership.

Demonstrate strong expertise in designing and building scalable data pipelines, SQL, and ETL/ELT processes using tools like DBT, Talend, or Fivetran.

Have hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, or Azure, and a solid understanding of Agile development, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.

Familiarity with data modeling, data quality, performance tuning, and the ability to create process documentation and technical manuals is essential. Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies and cross-functional agile teams is expected.
