Join Microsoft India as an Area Business Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the subsidiary's strategic direction. This Chief of Staff position for the Area Vice President (AVP) involves driving strategic alignment across the business and with partners, ensuring subsidiary goals are met. Orchestrate and facilitate the Rhythm-Of-the-Business (ROB) for MCAPS India Area SLT meetings, including agenda setting and content preparation. Collaborate closely with India and Corporate stakeholders on global QBCs and other corporate meetings, as well as Area events like Kickoffs and Monthly Townhalls.
Drive key functional milestones in partnership with Finance, HR, and CELA. Ensure effective communication to internal and external stakeholders, working with the communications team. Foster the One-Microsoft India agenda alongside the India SLT and other leadership.
Oversee the planning, execution, and follow-up for all action items with business and functional teams. Take end-to-end content ownership for external events and meetings hosted by the AVP, including design, preparation, and delivery for customers, partners, and influencers. Develop analytics and insights to achieve impactful business outcomes.
Deliver impactful visits for senior executives, advancing strategy and business objectives. Partner with Executive Business Admins to optimize CVP time allocation. Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives. Support the CVP on transformational projects, potentially serving as Project Lead or Manager. Collaborate with SE&O Lead and CFO on growth agenda initiatives.
A strong foundation in an engineering or technology degree, complemented by an MBA, is required. Candidates should possess high executive presence, with a proven ability to lead through influence, collaboration, and credibility building.
Demonstrated experience working effectively within a matrixed environment is essential, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills. The ability to thrive in an agile setting and manage multiple priorities simultaneously is crucial.
Extensive travel across India will be necessary to support external and internal engagements. A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience is expected. Experience in marketing, partner management, sales, technology, or start-up environments is highly desirable. Prior people management experience, particularly within Microsoft, is also a significant plus.
