As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will leverage your expertise in administering DB2 databases on z/OS. Key responsibilities include creating and managing DB2 objects, optimizing performance, and ensuring high availability. You will also handle backup/recovery, security, capacity planning, and provide 24/7 on-call support for production systems. This role involves supporting DB2 upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery activities, requiring exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Effective communication and collaboration are essential for teamwork. A strong understanding of database management best practices is expected. Experience with Microsoft SSIS, SQL Server, and Azure Cloud is considered a valuable asset.

We are seeking a highly experienced DB2 DBA with a minimum of 6 years of proven expertise on z/OS. You should demonstrate proficiency in administering DB2 databases, including creating and managing objects like Databases, Tablespaces, Tables, and Indexes. Experience with data maintenance utilities, scheduling tools, performance tuning, backup/recovery procedures, security, and high availability is crucial. The role also requires experience in capacity planning, space/memory management, monitoring, and optimization of DB2 objects, queries, buffer pools, and system resources.

Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently are paramount. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary for effective teamwork. Knowledge of database management best practices is a must. Experience or knowledge of Microsoft SSIS, SQL Server, and Azure Cloud exposure is a plus.
