This role focuses on tax compliance and advisory services within the Financial Services Office (FSO), specifically supporting foundational returns and technical competencies in tax accounting and US exempt organizations.

Develop, mentor, and supervise junior team members, acting as a counselor and proactively identifying and solving issues. Seek opportunities to broaden client exposure and foster collaboration within the team. Effectively communicate progress, project status, and needs to supervisors, managing schedules to meet chargeability goals and adhering to practice protocols.

Demonstrate proficiency in identifying process improvements and utilizing tax-specific methodologies and technologies. Encourage critical thinking and open sharing of ideas. Provide constructive feedback to team members, contributing to a positive and accountable team environment focused on high-quality deliverables and prompt client service.

A solid understanding of tax accounting principles and the ability to analyze financial, trial balance, and brokerage statements is essential. Proficiency in US Exempt Organizations (Federal and State) tax matters is required.

Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are crucial. Experience with QuickBooks is a beneficial addition. The role involves reviewing tax returns for private foundations (Form 990PF) and 990T, as well as potentially Corporation (1120), Partnership (1065), and S Corporation (1120S) returns.

Familiarity with international tax forms like 5471 and 926 is advantageous. Candidates must be adept with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and comfortable using tax compliance software such as GoSystem. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
