As a Manager, you will guide teams of Analysts and Seniors, taking ownership of client service delivery within a designated region, area, or specialization. This role encompasses engagement management, cultivating strong client relationships, and effectively managing team resources through development and coaching.

Lead U.S. individual tax return engagements with high technical proficiency, demonstrating a foundational understanding of trust and partnership returns. Sign individual tax returns of varying complexities and drive the production process, ensuring efficient review of returns and deliverables within service level agreements. Cultivate lasting client and internal colleague relationships, identifying opportunities for GDS and EY growth through consistent high-quality work.

Oversee daily operations and engagement milestones, managing ad-hoc project requests. Develop strong leadership in building high-performing teams and hone engagement and financial management skills by monitoring project economics and budget adherence. Contribute to process improvements for enhanced service quality and compliance efficiency. Identify opportunities for resource leverage across assignments and teams, and cross-sell extended services. Represent the sub-service line practice externally and mentor Analysts, Advanced Analysts, Seniors, and Assistant Managers. Showcase leadership and executive presence, communicating project progress effectively to all stakeholders. Maintain knowledge of firm policies on independence, confidentiality, client acceptance, and tax return preparer guidelines, adhering strictly to practice protocols and internal processes. Explore opportunities for cross-program engagement and secondary skill development.

Must be a Certified EA, CPA, or hold an equivalent designation with an active license and U.S. PTIN. Possess deep knowledge of Form 1040s and subject matter expertise in foreign issues, PFICs, 3520s, and 5471s. A minimum of 8 years of experience, including direct client interaction, is essential. While experience with CCH and/or SurePrep software is beneficial, it is not a mandatory requirement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are expected.
