Job description

This role is the technical cornerstone of our corporate studio, ensuring flawless execution of recording, streaming, live casting, and production processes. You will be responsible for managing all studio equipment, including cameras, switchers, lighting, audio systems, and chroma setups, to maintain broadcast-grade quality and operational efficiency. We seek a candidate with extensive hands-on experience in both live and recorded productions, adept problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, professional studio environment.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining broadcast hardware such as video switchers, PTZ and cinema cameras, lighting grids, audio mixers, and teleprompters. You'll manage chroma keying pipelines and ensure all studio areas are production-ready. This role involves setting up and managing multi-camera switching, live streaming to various platforms, and encoding workflows for live events like town halls and webcasts. You will also manage audio capture and mixing for pristine sound quality, troubleshoot technical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and document all setups and processes. Collaboration with cinematographers, editors, and the content team is crucial for optimizing workflows from recording to publishing.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess 4-7 years of experience in broadcast engineering or studio operations, with a strong grasp of video codecs, formats, SDI/NDI/HDMI signal flows, audio signal chains, and lighting techniques. Proficiency with ATEM/TriCaster/Ross Video/vMix, PTZ control systems, and live production platforms is essential. Experience with Dante audio and virtual sets is preferred. Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities, coupled with excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders, are vital. The ability to manage multiple production requests simultaneously is also required. A degree or diploma in Broadcast Engineering, Mass Communication, Audio/Video Production, or Electronics is necessary.
