This position focuses on accurately transforming patient diagnoses and procedures into universal medical alphanumeric codes. Medical coders are essential for creating a standardized vocabulary that accurately reflects patient conditions, ensuring uniform documentation across healthcare facilities.

Key responsibilities include meticulously reviewing patient documentation to understand diagnoses, then translating this information into standardized alphanumeric codes. You will abstract critical data from medical records and hospital ancillary records according to facility and state requirements. Adherence to strict coding guidelines and established productivity standards is crucial. You will also attend training sessions to continuously enhance your coding knowledge, compliance skills, and maintain credentials, while always upholding patient confidentiality.

This role requires a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with CPT and ICD-10 coding principles, governmental regulations, and third-party billing requirements. A mandatory coding certification is essential, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in Radiology Coding. Prior experience in auditing and a willingness to mentor junior team members, including freshers, is highly valued. Proficiency with Windows PC applications, including keyboard navigation and learning new software, is necessary, alongside the ability to work flexible shifts and occasional overtime or weekend work as business needs dictate. Excellent oral and written English communication skills are required to effectively interact with our clients.
