This position focuses on accurately translating patient diagnoses and procedures into universal medical alphanumeric codes, ensuring uniform documentation and efficient communication between medical facilities. Your expertise will directly contribute to creating a standardized vocabulary for medical conditions and treatments.

Your core responsibilities will involve meticulously reading patient documentation to understand diagnoses and transforming healthcare information into standardized codes. You'll be tasked with reviewing clinical statements, assigning appropriate codes, and abstracting information from medical records and ancillary records. Adherence to strict coding guidelines and established productivity standards is crucial, as is actively participating in meetings and training to continuously enhance your coding knowledge and compliance skills. Maintaining patient confidentiality is paramount in this role.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 4 years of experience in CPT and ICD-10 coding principles, governmental regulations, and third-party requirements for medical billing. A mandatory coding certification with exposure to Radiology Coding is required. Prior experience in auditing and a willingness to mentor junior coders are highly valued. Proficiency in using Windows PC applications, including keyboard navigation and learning new software, is essential. Candidates must be flexible with shift timings (Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM IST, with potential changes based on client needs) and available for overtime and weekend work as required by business demands. Effective oral and written English communication skills are necessary for seamless client interaction.
