Join our team as a Senior Associate Medical Records Coder and play a crucial role in transforming healthcare data into universal alphanumeric codes. This position is key to creating a standardized vocabulary for medical information, ensuring clear documentation between facilities.

As a Medical Records Coder, you will be responsible for reviewing clinical statements and assigning standard codes accurately. Your expertise will ensure uniform documentation and facilitate efficient communication within the healthcare system.

Your primary duties will involve carefully reading medical documentation to understand patient diagnoses and accurately transforming healthcare information into universal medical alphanumeric codes. You will review clinical statements and assign standard codes, ensuring all coding adheres to strict guidelines and established productivity standards.

This role also includes coding and abstracting information from provider patient medical records and hospital ancillary records, meeting facility and/or state requirements. Continuous learning is encouraged through attending meetings and in-service training to enhance coding knowledge, compliance skills, and maintain credentials. Patient confidentiality is paramount in all tasks.

To excel in this role, you need a minimum of 4 years of experience with CPT and ICD-10 coding principles, governmental regulations, protocols, and third-party requirements for medical billing. A mandatory coding certification is essential, with a preference for experience in Radiology Coding. Experience in auditing and mentoring freshers is highly valued.

You should also possess at least 1 year of experience using Windows PC applications, demonstrating proficiency with keyboard navigation and learning new software tools. Availability to work scheduled shifts from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM IST, with flexibility for overtime and weekend work as business needs dictate, is required. Effective oral and written English communication skills are necessary to collaborate with our client.
