In this position, you'll be instrumental in assigning universal alphanumeric codes to diagnoses, procedures, and medical services. Medical coders are vital for creating a standardized language that describes patient conditions, ensuring clear and consistent documentation across healthcare facilities. This role focuses on accurately reviewing clinical statements and applying standardized codes.

Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing patient medical records and hospital ancillary records to code and abstract information, strictly adhering to facility and state requirements. You will follow established coding guidelines while meeting productivity standards. The role also involves attending meetings and training sessions to continuously enhance your coding expertise, compliance knowledge, and maintain necessary credentials. Upholding patient confidentiality is paramount in all aspects of this position.

This role requires a candidate with a minimum of 4 years of experience in CPT and ICD-10 coding principles, governmental regulations, and third-party requirements for medical billing. A mandatory coding certification is essential, with a preference for experience in Radiology Coding. Prior experience in auditing and a willingness to mentor freshers are highly desirable. Proficiency in using Windows PC applications, including keyboard navigation and learning new software, is expected. Candidates must be able to commit to scheduled shifts from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM IST, with flexibility for overtime and weekend work based on business needs. Effective oral and written English communication skills are necessary for client interactions.
