Join our team as a Medical Records Coding Associate and play a crucial role in managing patient health information. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with a strong understanding of medical coding principles and a commitment to accuracy. You will be integral to ensuring our records are up-to-date and compliant.

Your primary responsibilities will involve meticulously coding and abstracting information directly from patient medical and hospital records, adhering strictly to facility and state requirements. You will assign accurate billing codes using CPT-4 and ICD-9 guidelines. Effective communication with physicians will be key to clarify documentation and ensure precise coding.

You will also monitor unbilled accounts to reduce outstanding receivables and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Continuous learning through meetings and training is expected to enhance your coding expertise, compliance skills, and credential maintenance.

To excel in this role, you must possess at least two years of experience with CPT and ICD-9 coding, governmental regulations, and third-party medical billing requirements. A mandatory coding certification is essential, with a preference for experience in Radiology Denials or IVR coding. Proficiency in using Windows PC applications, including keyboard navigation and learning new software, is also required.

Availability to work scheduled shifts from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM IST is necessary, with flexibility for potential shift changes based on client needs. You should also be prepared for occasional overtime and weekend work as business demands. Excellent oral and written English communication skills are vital for effective interaction with our client.
