As a Medical Records Coding Associate, your primary responsibilities will include coding and abstracting vital information from patient medical records and hospital ancillary records in adherence to facility and state requirements.

You will be tasked with assigning appropriate billing codes using CPT-4 and/or ICD-9 guidelines based on medical documentation. Collaboration with physicians for clarification on complex cases and monitoring unbilled accounts to reduce receivables are also key aspects of this role. Maintaining strict coding guidelines and productivity standards, along with continuous learning through meetings and training, will be essential.

This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in CPT and ICD-9 coding principles, governmental regulations, and medical billing protocols. A mandatory coding certification is essential, with prior exposure to Radiology Denials highly desirable.

Proficiency in using Windows PC applications, including keyboard navigation and learning new software, is necessary, along with at least 1 year of experience in this area. Effective oral and written communication skills in English are vital for interacting with our clients. Candidates must be flexible to work scheduled shifts from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM IST, with potential for shift adjustments based on client needs and business demands, including overtime and weekend work.
