Key responsibilities include coding and abstracting vital information from medical and hospital records, adhering strictly to facility and state requirements. You will be responsible for assigning accurate billing codes using CPT-4 and/or ICD-9 guidelines.

Furthermore, you will proactively query physicians for clarification on documentation, monitor unbilled accounts to reduce receivable days, and consistently meet productivity standards. Maintaining patient confidentiality and participating in ongoing training are essential aspects of this role.

Ideal candidates will possess at least two years of experience with CPT and ICD-9 coding principles, governmental regulations, and third-party billing requirements. A mandatory coding certification is expected, with prior exposure to Radiology Denials being a significant advantage.

Proficiency in using Windows PC applications, including keyboard navigation and software learning, is necessary. The role requires the ability to work scheduled shifts from Monday to Friday, with flexibility for overtime and weekend work as business needs dictate. Effective oral and written English communication skills are crucial for collaborating with our clients.
