BCG Platinion seeks a Lead AI Tech Architect to drive digital excellence for clients. This role involves guiding organizations through complex technological challenges and enabling advanced digital journeys. Lead the design of solution, application, and data architectures. Develop feasibility studies, technical concepts, and proofs of concept, scaling software solutions. Perform technology assessments and implement IT architectures, analyzing complex IT landscapes for optimization. Review technical architecture and code. Support IT functions during mergers and acquisitions, and restructure IT processes. Optimize application development. Design work packages and evaluate software solutions and products. Ensure quality assurance for IT implementation. Craft compelling narratives and translate complex ideas for diverse audiences.

Deliver impactful presentations, lead modules, and build consensus. Foster collaboration, mentor teams, and share knowledge. Facilitate technical and strategic working sessions. Provide direction and feedback to team members. Manage and mentor junior team members, defining their work, structuring analyses, and ensuring their growth. Oversee quality assurance for junior team members' output. Act as a role model, demonstrating BCG’s culture and values. Drive innovation, uncover new ideas, and build client relationships. Assist with business development by writing proposals and scoping projects.

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information technology, computer science, or business administration is required; a Master’s degree is a plus. You should have over 6 years of experience in technology consulting or software engineering, with at least 3 years focused on architecture.

Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, enabling you to influence clients and internal teams. We seek individuals who are creative, analytical, and autonomous, thriving in fast-paced problem-solving environments with a customer-centric approach. Superior technical knowledge, engineering rigor, and creative problem-solving abilities are crucial. You must be able to explain complex technology topics clearly to senior executives.

Extensive technical expertise is needed across various domains, including cloud technologies and optimization (FinOps), integration methodologies, API and microservices architecture, database patterns, data platform architecture (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse), data analytics, AI/GenAI architecture, application modernization, mainframe architecture, and process automation (DevOps, AIOps). An agile mindset, fluency with GenAI tools like ChatGPT or Claude, and a vision for iteratively migrating to modern architectural capabilities are also key. Willingness to travel extensively to client sites is required.
