This Managerial role within the Business Acceleration Team (BAT) in the Business Consulting practice presents a dynamic opportunity. The BAT team is dedicated to delivering outstanding client service and support for Business Development initiatives. Our mandate includes supporting pre-deal and origination activities, such as crafting client meeting decks, developing capital agenda information packs, generating value creation opportunity packs, compiling industry insights, providing RFP solutions, and supporting deal economics and idea generation.

We are actively seeking Managers with specialized experience in the Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors to enhance our BAT Team. This role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to a leading firm, driving revenue growth through close collaboration with EY stakeholders on new pursuits and assisting the practice in developing comprehensive proposals and client presentations.
Your core responsibilities will encompass conducting in-depth sector-specific research (Life Sciences and Healthcare), analyzing company documents, and developing Sector Points of View (PoVs) and industry documents. You will identify key sector themes to generate actionable business development analysis within the Business Consulting and Technology Consulting domains.
Develop a profound understanding of the Life Sciences & Healthcare sector and its sub-sectors to effectively analyze client financial and strategic information and pinpoint opportunities arising from market developments. Ensure the quality of deliverables, both qualitatively and quantitatively, verifying that outputs are insightful, meet stakeholder expectations, and are delivered within stipulated timelines.
Effectively manage multiple concurrent pursuit requests, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate appropriate expertise as dictated by client needs. Continuously measure, monitor, and enhance client service delivery through a commitment to excellence. Cultivate strong relationships with regional stakeholders, ensuring high client satisfaction with the origination process and work products. Play an integral role throughout the origination lifecycle, from initial pursuits to RFP solutions and delivery hand-off. Drive account growth through specialized functional and sector-focused pitches.
Essential qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Systems, Engineering, Economics, or Social/Organizational Science, with a Master’s degree, MBA, or Master’s in Business Administration being preferred. A minimum of 9 years of relevant professional experience is required.
Proven track record in the Life Sciences (Pharmaceuticals, MedTech) and Healthcare (Payers, Providers) sectors is a must. A strong grasp of Tech and AI-driven solutions to address client challenges is essential. Experience in developing Go-to-Market documents, conducting company/industry research, and creating thought leadership materials is also necessary.
Demonstrated experience in Strategy Consulting Projects is vital, including work on strategy design, Go-to-Market strategy, investment strategy, feasibility studies, transformation roadmaps, competitive benchmarking, revenue and cost management, value creation, operating model strategy, AI-led digital strategy, digital transformation, pricing strategy, and performance management frameworks. Possess strong business acumen to drive actionable client outcomes by leveraging the latest industry trends, innovations, and disruptions, along with key metrics and value drivers.
Exhibit strong business sense and logical reasoning skills, with the ability to conceptualize research storyboards, supported by advanced PowerPoint and Excel proficiency. You should be a self-starter, comfortable working independently and taking on significant responsibility. Experience in presenting findings clearly in reports and client deliverables is expected, as is experience in mentoring talent and managing direct reports. The ability to simplify complex topics for senior stakeholders, coupled with strong written and presentation skills, is crucial.
