Responsibilities include daily operational oversight, troubleshooting complex issues, and executing recovery plans. Configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise backup systems like Commvault, Veeam, IBM Spectrum Protect, NetBackup, Networker, and DataDomain. Manage daily backup operations, effectively troubleshoot failures, and perform thorough root cause analysis. Conduct regular restore testing and provide essential support for recovery operations. Maintain and optimize backup policies, schedules, and storage targets across diverse platforms. Administer and maintain backend storage and Data Domain infrastructure to ensure optimal backup storage and performance. Ensure high availability and comprehensive data protection for both virtual and physical environments. Collaborate closely with infrastructure and application teams to guarantee adequate backup coverage and effective capacity planning. Develop and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and recovery processes. Ensure strict compliance with data retention policies, audit requirements, and security standards. Execute incident management and change management processes efficiently. Generate and manage capacity and trending reports for system operations.

A minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience in backup systems administration is required. Possess a strong understanding of ITIL practices and experience with industry-leading IT Asset Management tools such as ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service and the ability to manage challenging situations effectively. Exhibit a detail-oriented, customer-focused, and results-driven mindset, complemented by strong analytical thinking. Ability to work independently, exercising considerable judgment and initiative in problem-solving and decision-making.
