As a Backup Systems Administration Analyst, your responsibilities will include configuring, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise backup solutions such as Commvault, Veeam, IBM Spectrum Protect, NetBackup, and Networker. You will manage daily backup operations, troubleshoot failures, perform root cause analysis, and conduct regular restore testing.

Key duties also involve maintaining and optimizing backup policies, schedules, and storage targets. You will administer backend storage and Data Domain infrastructure, ensuring high availability and data protection across virtual and physical environments. Collaboration with infrastructure and application teams for capacity planning and documentation of configurations and recovery processes are essential.

The ideal candidate possesses 5-6 years of relevant experience in backup systems administration. A strong understanding of industry-leading backup software and storage solutions is required, along with experience in incident and change management. Familiarity with ITIL practices and IT Asset Management tools like ServiceNow is beneficial.

Excellent communication and customer service skills are vital, along with a detail-oriented, analytical, and results-driven approach. You will work closely with stakeholders to define backup requirements and implement effective solutions. This role demands initiative and sound judgment in problem-solving and decision-making.
