Key responsibilities include managing core Azure services such as VMs, VNets, Azure AD, and AKS. You will implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates and Terraform. Developing robust CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and containerizing workloads with Docker and Kubernetes are essential. Automate tasks using Linux, Bash, and Python, and monitor systems with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk. Governance will be managed through Azure Policy and Blueprints, with a focus on RBAC and secret management via Azure Key Vault. Cost control using Azure Cost Management and Advisor, alongside automated alerting and distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry, will be critical. Strategies for autoscaling AKS and VMSS, optimizing container images, and designing multi-region failover are also key aspects of this role.

A strong foundation in core Azure services is required, including VM, VNet, Azure AD, DNS, VMSS, Azure Functions, Azure Monitor, ACS, and AKS. Proficiency with ARM templates and Terraform for IaC is essential. Experience with GitHub Actions and other CI/CD tools is necessary. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration is a must. Automation skills using Linux, Bash, and Python scripting are vital. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Kibana is expected.
