Join a dynamic and rapidly expanding team within Microsoft Azure Engineering, focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences. As an Advanced Cloud Engineer, you will be instrumental in resolving complex critical issues and supporting key customer projects on Azure. Your role will involve acting as the voice of the customer within Azure, escalating issues, and driving improvements to platform and support services. Collaborate with field teams and Azure engineering teams to ensure a world-class, engineering-led support experience that transforms Azure customers into advocates.

Your responsibilities will include leveraging engineering tools and customer insights to identify and address product defects and systemic issues. You will communicate active issues and progress to customers and partners, synthesizing feedback to improve product usage and identify knowledge gaps. Recommend content improvements and develop metrics for evaluating changes. You'll also manage the customer solution lifecycle, conducting health checks, guiding customers on new versions, and serving as a liaison between engineering and customers. Handle complex escalations, perform deep root cause analysis, and represent the team as a subject matter expert on highly complex issues.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 8 years of IT experience in supporting and troubleshooting enterprise-level, mission-critical applications, with at least 6 years in a customer-facing role and 3+ years specifically in cloud computing technologies. Proficiency in core IaaS (Compute, Storage, Networking, High Availability, AKS) and Data Platform/Big Data services (SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, HDInsight, ML, Azure Stream Analytics, ADF/Databricks, Cosmos DB) is essential. Experience with Azure PaaS services such as Redis Cache, Service Bus, Event Hub, Cloud Service, IoT suite, and Mobile Apps is also required. Strong communication skills, customer obsession, and a growth mindset are crucial.
